Transformer Management Program

Our transformer management program offers our utility customers the opportunity to let someone else manage the day to day usage of their transformer requirements. The program manages the utilities transformer activity from start to finish. We will work with our suppliers to find the most competitive and efficient transformer designs for the utility. Then CCSS handles everything determining usage and stock levels to automatic replenishment of inventory on a weekly basis.  We handle all the necessary transactions throughout the entire process.  Another added feature that makes our program so popular is the fact that we will make deliveries on a weekly basis on our own truck with our driver unloading the transformers and putting them away in the appropriate storage areas.

 

Kit Packaging

Kit packaging is another service that is provided from our Mt. Pleasant facility. This service is offered to give our customers the option to have work performed by a third party that will create additional savings for their utility. An example of this service would be to install arresters and wildlife protection on pole mounted transformers and bushing inserts, secondary connectors and grounding connectors on pad mounted transformers prior to shipment to the customer. These services provide the customer with both labor savings as well as inventory cost savings.

Meter Service

CCSS proudly offers meter support to our customers. In our meter lab we will install modems, I/O boards and soft switches in our meters prior to shipping them to the customer. We can also install AMR/AMI modules in new meters or install AMR/AMI retrofit kits into customers existing meters. Along with all of this we will assist the customers in building their own meter programs or we will program the meter prior to shipping. These services save the customer the time and manpower to perform these functions after they receive the meters. They simply have to remove them from the box of meters, boards and switches so the customer can have the meter they're looking for as quickly as the next day if necessary.
