Smoker Services

Champion Charter Sales and Service answered the need of their customers in the coal region of our western territories and the need for coal smoker suppression for the exposed coal via our Smoker Service.  In the coal mining regions, any exposed coal can become susceptible to smokers. We employ three large Smoker Trucks with water cannons that distribute a water chemical mixture that solves the smoker problem and eliminates chances for re-ignition.  With our partners at GE Chemical we have surrounded the Basin with our fleet to assure full protection and the ability to react almost immediately to a customer's request.  We have had favorable results with this service in pre-treating coal seams which are to be left open for extended periods of time.  This pre-treatment prevents exposed coal from absorbing mosture which leads to ignition.  We also employ water trucks for dust suppression along with our Smoker Trucks.  In essence we have full protection of a coal company's interest when it comes to preventing coal smokers and the treatment of them just in case they occur.
